[/caption] [caption id="" align="alignleft" width="640" caption="New curtains over the large bedroom window."][/caption] The flimsy frilly stuff that was there before *really* wasn’t my style. You can see the examples of that crap in these three pictures. They were nice enough when I moved in, but age and my changing style meant they had to go. The new ones are much better. Well, since having new curtains, I’ve decided that I like the clean look and need to apply it to the rest of my home. I figure if I do about half an hour to an hour of cleaning a day (or even every other day) over the next few weeks, I’ll have my entire apartment clean in no time flat! My goal for today was to clean the bathroom. Everybody who’s used it in the last week can attest that even though it was one of the tidier rooms in the house, it was FILTHY. (just like the INTERNET!) Well, it’s sparklin’ clean now, and I think I *like* that look. I want more of it. So that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to dedicate at least a half hour a day to cleaning my apartment. Hopefully I’ll have the guts to get rid of the junk I’ve been hoarding over the last 10 years (yes, I have some stuff in boxes that I haven’t looked at since I moved into this place!), and really tidy this place out. One thing I can say that I’m proud of lately. I finally shredded four years worth of crap that’d been cluttering my desk. I’m about halfway done cleaning it, but it’s a marked improvement. I don’t have to shuffle piles from my desk to the bed just so I can use the computer. How cool is that? Anyway, no that the whole world knows what a lazy slob I tend to be, I’m loggin’ off and having lunch. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!! P.S… I need to send a HUGE thanks to my mum for making these curtains, they really DO look FANTASTIC!]]>
Oh, I even sustained bodily injury while cleaning the bathroom today… I jammed my toenail in the flashing between the tile in the bathroom and the wood flooring in the bedroom. After I was done cleaning I noticed that my sock was a bit bloody. Turns out I tore a chunk of toenail off the skin in the middle of the big toe. Ouch. We’ll see how long this takes to heal, huh?
Glad to hear of the progress made in that bathroom!
Mom and I try to each do 30 minutes a day and that was things don’t get on top of us.
Love ya’
Ol’ Dad
Sadly, I haven’t done any chores over the last several days… just been taking it real easy since I’m not feeling very well. Staying home from work again today. :-/
