Scuttle, a social bookmarking application set up on my server. I just so happened to be looking at the list of links this evening while on my trusty 12″ PowerBook under Safari and noticed a whole lot of tags that looked suspicious. It would appear that while I’ve been able to combat blogspam, I’ve encountered a whole LOT of bookmark spam on the scuttle site. Fortunately, there weren’t a whole lot of spam bookmarks, but there were some 150+ spam-related tags on in the database. Fortunately for me, I *am* the sysadmin, and I *do* have direct access to the scuttle database. I went through and deleted all users I didn’t know about, all tags that looked shifty, and all of those bobdamned spam links. I swear to Bob above, if I ever get my hands on a spammer, I’ll probably go to jail after I’m done beating the shit out of him. I have to agree with a few friends of mine that spammers need to be spayed and neutered to keep their filthy genes out of our gene pool. They should not be allowed to raise children and they should be banned from technology of any kind. Yes, this includes any sort of modern conveniences or tools of any kind. They can rot and starve for all I care. Fuckers. *sigh* I’m done ranting now, but I don’t feel any better. I feel pretty damned violated right now. I’m logging off and going back to the F1 race on TV now. Thanks for visiting (and listening to me whine) and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
Speaking of F-1 . . .
This just popped up on BBC:

Check it out!
Cheers . . .
Ol’ Dad
Yeah, I watched the race. Very it was a fairly exciting race. I was bummed though, that Fernando Alanso placed in the points. I know he’s a 2-time world champion, but he’s a stuck-up pig who thinks he deserves it all. I would rather he finish 9th or lower for the rest of the season.
The only reason why he’s not at McLaren anymore is because they didn’t have room for two drivers AND his ego.
In other news, which that article didn’t mention, Rubens Barrichello was DQ’d for leaving pit lane on a red light. This, unfortunately, IS a bummer. Better luck next time, Rubens!
