Color Splash on TV right now. This particular episode is doing a makeover on a HIDEOUS 1980’s Dining Room into something Art Deco. David just finished showing a few buildings in SF that were Art Deco, and explained what constitutes Art Deco styling. Then they cut away to what can be considered the world’s most recognizable piece of Art Deco design: The Golden Gate Bridge. If you’ve ever seen it, and you’ve ever seen anything art deco, you know what I’m talking about. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, just take my word for it – the Golden Gate Bridge, designed and built in the 1920’s and 1930’s – it’s definitely Art Deco design. Anyway… I just had to comment. I’ve always been a fan of Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern. (I’m also a fan of the Arts & Crafts aka Craftsman style, too). That’s all from me for now. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
