Michaels right away, and after a few minutes, dad went to Office Max, two doors down. I eventually went to Office Max and bought a cool office chair. Got it home, assembled it, and used it for a few minutes in teh office before going back to the living room and visiting some more. Seemed to be okay. Monday I played house-sitter for M&D. They were expecting a service call for their furnace. The guy came and went later in the afternoon and the furnace worked again. w00t! I ended up taking a nap in the afternoon and left after dinner. When I got home, I promptly removed the old chair from my office and started using the new chair. Turns out that only about 2 hours was all I could really stand. After that, I’d made the decision to return the infernal thing the next day and went back to the good ol’ chair I had. I’d still like a new chair though – I need one with some cushoning and some serious back support. (I also need to raise my desk up about three inches – I’ll work on that later.) Eventually, I’ll have that new chair, but not immediately. So yesterday I drove back to Modesto to return the chair. Looked for a new one, but none of the ones they had offered adjustable seatbacks. I then spent some time wandering around Linens -n- Things with my mom, looking at all the pretty things I don’t really need to buy at this point in time and visiting some more. I’ve had a good weekend, and the week’s been going well so far. Now if only somebody would hire me. 😉 That’s all from me for now.
