Kindle for iPhone

Amazon.com’s e-Reader device, the Kindle. Well, a few months ago, Amazon released the Kindle software for the iPhone. I’ve been playing with this for the last week. I’ve got to say, I think it’s pretty slick. I really like being able to jump around between books. Having all these books on one device is fairly efficient, too. It’s nice to know that wherever I am, I have my current books with me. Y’know – for boredom relief. 😉 I installed the Kindle software last weekend, but finally got books for it on Monday night. Tuesday morning I started reading Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey. About half an hour later, I switched to X-Rated Bloodsuckers by Mario Acevedo. I flip-flopped back and forth with both books until sometime Wednesday morning when I started reading Neuromancer by William Gibson. Last night I started reading Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. Now I know why I haven’t read the hardback version of Cryptonomicon yet. Ugh. But that aside, I’ve found this software to be pretty darned awesome. I might even break down and get a Kindle after I become employed again. This software is pretty nifty. Granted, I still have hard-copies of all but 2 of the books I bought for the Kindle reader. I’ve got this thing for being able to touch the actual books. I’m not sure I look forward to the day when we don’t have hardcopy anything anymore. Anyway, just my two cents worth. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
