I saw it and had =NO= =IDEA= what the hell was going on . . . thought it was some sort of a screw up in the broadcast . . . like a film when the first reel is done and somebody puts on reel number three instead of number two!
Since I never watched Steinfield I guess it wasn’t aimed at me.
But if there was an advertising message there — or even an institutional message — I can’t imagine what it was.
If it was supposed to be an ad for Microsoft, I think somebody saw Gates comin’ and “sold him a pup,” as grandad used to say.
If they paid somebody to make that for them it was a waste of money.
Of course, if their idea was to make Gates and Microsoft look like stupid idiots, I think they succeeded.

Apparently, Seinfeld was paid several million dollars for this series of spots.
