garden. I have other friends who would love that garden. I had no idea that was until somebody pointed it out to me! Let’s just say I’m glad I don’t live in Gary’s house. It’s beautiful and all that (he really does have a gorgeous place), but the view from the back yard would be distracting. Saturday evening, we all got together for a night of Munchkin. We decided to break in my copy of the game, since I have the main game and all the expansions. My cards were all still wrapped in cellophane even! OMG! Sadly, of the 3 games we played, everybody but me won one game. *sobs* It’s no fair. Sunday was kind of a lazy day. I slept in a bit, played WoW for a while, then met Randy for lunch. We went to Fudrucker’s. Their burgers are okay, but a bit overpriced. It was really nice to see Randy again. It’s been several months since I was both in town last, and able to hook up with my “other brother.” It was a nice lunch tho, and a good time was had by all. After lunch, I took a bit of a drive back to Mom & Dad’s place. I went up McHenry to Patterson Rd, drove into Riverbank and on to Albers. Took Albers down to Hughson, CA (by which point, it’s called Geer road, and continues into Turlock), then turned onto Hatch Rd. and into Ceres. From there, I finished my trip back home to the house. It was nice to see the countryside again. I haven’t driven through Ceres or Hughson in over 10 years. I had dinner with Lee in the evening, and met up with Rob, Chris, and Coree at the movie theatre to see Hamlet 2. It was incredibly hilarious, but I identified too closely with a lot of it. As a result, I spent the first 20 or 30 minutes reading fanifc on my iPhone. *sigh* The movie ended up on a very high note, and gets an overall rating from me of “Entertaining.” Definitely a renter. Today I had breakfast with the Parentals. We went to Perko’s. I noticed when we got there that they’d removed their portico. When we got to the door, there was a sign in the window informing their customers that the restaurant would be closed from September 2nd through October 31st for remodeling. That would explain the lack of a portico that’s been there for years. Breakfast was yummy, and the time spent visiting with the folks was wonderful. Sadly, after much sneezing caused by the wind picking up the polution, it was time to go pick up Chris & Coree and head back to San Jose. We met up with friends of theirs for lunch and chatted for several hours ’till it was time to take C&C back to the airport. I got them there at 5:00pm for a 6:50pm flight, thinking they’d need time to get through security… I was wrong. They were through security in about 5 minutes, so were waiting quite some time for their plane. Their flight went smoothly, and they’re now back at home in Phoenix. I’m back at home in Santa Clara. I get to go back to work tomorrow, and I think I’m ready for it. I’ve had quite a nice long weekend, and it was thoroughly enjoyed. That’s all for now. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
Great to see you . . . and Rob and Chris — and to meet Coree. Interesting how =your= definition of “hot” has changed now that you live in the Bay Area — we thought it was a pleasantly cool weekend!
Love ya’!
Ol’ Dad
PS – Thanx for b’fast!
Yeah, so did Chris and Coree. Heh.
