my company’s new domain. Since the free mail service is … well, free, there’s no live bodies to speak to. My entire morning was wasted calling around in circles. By the time I took off for lunch, I was pretty good and stressed. Lunch was spent with Peter and his family. His wife looks VERY well, and their newborn daughter is adorable! Lunch was yummy, and I’m looking forward to eating there again. BTW, I have never seen Peter so relaxed in the time I’ve known him! Way to go sir! So about half an hour before I left work, I checked some of my mail accounts and found an invitation to help beta test the new WoW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. Oh… My… GOD!!! I can’t believe I was chosen! This is what all the wow-heads have been hoping for – a chance to play the new expansion before anybody else does. I’m sure you can imagine my excitement as I drove home. I couldn’t wait to download and install this new expansion. It was gonna be cool – I was gonna roll one of the new classes and see some new content! My life was to be complete again! Unfortunately, I had to wait. The download (2gb) took about 5 hours. By the time it was done, it was time for me to head to bed. Yeah, you know what’s coming next… I launched the new game and waited while it patched itself for the next 30 minutes. And then… and then I … launched it again, and watched it patch two more times. Finally I was able to play. I logged in my Shaman and rode around Ironforge and Shattrath for a little bit, but decided it was time to roll a Death Knight. I have to say… The new content is pretty danged cool! The new quests are pretty spiff, and the abilities of the class are nifty. I really should read up a bit more on the spells and stuff, but at the moment, I’m just playing the dang game. Hopefully my brother, Andy, and Peter will all get invitations to the beta as well. I’d love to be experiencing this stuff with them. Anyway… I’m *very* late to bed now. I think I’ll find out how easy it is to flounder on 4 hours of sleep. Fortunately, I get to sleep in tomorrow – our rollout of the new mailserver has been pushed back due to this *cough*CRAP*cough* from that unnamed company’s unnamed free mail service. Bastards! Thanks for visiting, and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
