Drugs in Baseball?

Round Table Pizza for lunch this evening (yes, I work 11am to 8:30pm, so it was lunch), and got to endure Andy Pettitte’s “I’m sorry I took them” speech. One thing he said in it was, “I didn’t take them to gain any edge, I just took them to get off the DL faster.” He then gushed about how sorry he was blah blah blah. I really don’t care one way or the other when it comes to Baseball. But then a thought came to me. Why not actually endorse the use of HGH to get the athletes off the DL faster? I mean, the fans pay lots of money to see their favorite athletes and stuff. If the league were to regulate and monitor the use of HGH, and use it only to get injured players better at an accelerated rate, wouldn’t it be a win-win situation? I don’t know what the risks are for taking HGH in regards to injury, so my train of thought could be going the wrong way on the right tracks, but it sounds like a good idea to me. Regulate it and fine the shit out of violators who try to get an edge up when they’re not injured. Oh, and the injuries need to be proven without a doubt that they’re valid and require the HGH to begin treatment. Anyway… That’s all I have for now. Just a thought. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!! P.S. Can’t we all just get over this bloody sensationalism already and get on with our lives? I mean really… who cares?]]>
