Giants game at Pacbell Park. Ugh. That was one VERY late night. Next time I go to a Giants game, I’m gonna drive up instead of taking Caltrain. I mean getting there was incredibly convenient on Caltrain. It was just that hour and a half return trip (when the trip up there was only 45 minutes) that really bothered me. The game was fun until the 14th inning when I got tired and started worrying whether or not Caltrain was even going to be running. If not, I would have been screwed, blued, and tattooed in SF with my Car in Sunnyvale. Fortunately I got to my car but didn’t get home from the park ’till 3:00 in the friggin morning!!! <sigh> Oh, well. So what’s up with my headline today? The heat, that’s what. If you read back in my archives you’ll see a history of summer heat-hating. I’ve never been one for the heat. Today’s heat, compounded with the Highway 680-closing accident made for a very tedious drive into work this morning. Fortunately I was NOT one of the ones caught behind the spill and from what I hear my trip was MUCH shorter than most. Still, though, it was very ugly, even though it could have been worse. There is a possibility that I may have an opportunity to move closer to work though, so that may be a relief. I’ll keep y’all posted. In other news, I bought myself another fan today. Same make, model, and color. Now I’ve got TWO of these little buggers blowing all the air around in my little 509 sq. ft. apartment. According to the ad spots on the radio, “a fan uses about as much energy as a lightbulb and can make your house up to 4 degrees cooler.” I’m not so sure about the energy useage bit, but I do know that they make quite a difference when you have them blowing on you on a warm day. Maybe this will be a good way for me to not use my AC so much anymore. Only time will tell. 🙂 okay, I’m getting tired now, so I’m headed to bed. Thanks for visiting and Keep Coming Back!!!]]>
