SOOOO much faster than it ever was with Windows 2000. Of course, Win98 was quite snappy and linux was good as well. However, I wanted application compatibility. I have that now. 🙂 On the illness front, I’ve still got swolen salivatory glands. Not sure whether or not it really IS mumps yet though – I don’t get to see my doctor until the 28th of August. We shall see… <sigh> Fortunately, if it is mumps, I’m not contageous anymore. Also, I feel like this is actually going away. I’m sure I’ll be fine by the time I get back from Florida. On the job search front, I gota call from the company that’s doing the job transition seminars today. My being sick and in Modesto last week prevented me from going to the sessions I was enrolled in, but I have another chance. I can only make one day of it, but I’m going tomorrow. Hopefully the’ll cover the resume writing part of it. I like my resume but it needs to be overhauled. The format and content of it is essentially unchanged from when I wrote it three years ago.
