Saturday!!! This hellish week is finally OVER. Of course, that is not to say that I didn’t come in today and get some work done. Justin and myself came into the office today to actually clean our MIS lab here at work. It was pretty hellacious. We had no workspace on our workbenches because of all the TRASH that’s been left there. It was UGLY. Now, however, it’s BEAUTIFUL! We can finally work in there again! w00t! And why, you ask, was this a hellish week? Well, I had a wonderful time at work with my review. Not that the review was bad, but I’ve screwed up enough to come close to losing my job. Fortunately, though, my boss and the people I work with really want to help me succeed and become a very productive member of this team. For this I am so thankful. This is the best job I’ve ever had and I don’t wanna muck it up. My laziness and restlessness was making me be the weak link in our team. The next thing that made my week so incredibly wonderful is the fact that on Thursday my clutch went out. Friday morning I went in and the mechanic said it would cost about $250 to fix the thing. He said he just needed to replace the hydraulic tubing and the slave cylinder. I called them at 4:00pm to find out when my poor old truck was going to be finished and the guy told me that I really needed a new clutch and it would bring the total of parts and labor to over $750. Sure – as if I can pull that wad outta my ass. Ugh. Not a pretty picture. Fortunately for me I do have some savings and I think I’ll be able to swing it. All this for a car that I have $1850 left to pay on and is worth little more than half of that amount. <sigh> Oh, well. Hopefully by this time next year I’ll be able to buy myself a new vehicle. We’ll see… So, what’s in store for the rest of my weekend? Well, I’m going climbing today for the first time in over 10 days. I can feel my flabby muscles wasting away and the flubber pile on. Ugh. I’m not sure how well I’ll be able to do, but I’ll do the best I can. My wrist is getting better, so we’ll see. If it hurts, I’ll lay off the climbing and be everyone’s belay slave.
